Mode I critical energy release rate of additively manufactured polyamide samples

چکیده

One accepted cause that generates low mechanical strength and/or fracture properties is the presence of defects in structure material. Additive Manufacturing does not except this rule, especially powder bed fusion technologies relays on spreading through a blade or roller followed by laser sintering melting. The paper presents experimental investigations polyamide PA2200 samples obtained selective sintering. mode I critical energy release rate and toughness were determined accordance to ASTM D 5528 – 01 for four sets samples: one set without induced geometrical defects, three other having interlayer intralayer defects. results consist evaluation error computing one-hand hand. In addition, study absorbed defect section was conducted, leading direct correlation between percentages (0.0%, 0.1%, 0.3% 0.5%) energy.

T650/AFR-PE-4/FM680-1 Mode I Critical Energy Release Rate at High Temperatures: Experiments and Numerical Models

An experimental program to determine the mode I critical energy release rate (GIc) of the T650/AFR-PE-4/FM680-1 material system is reported. Two forms of GIc are determined over the range of 20 to 350 ◦C, the area method critical energy release rate GIc and the inverse method critical energy release rate (GIc). The value of GIc was found to increase with increasing temperature. The inverse meth...

Mechanical Properties of Additively Manufactured Thick Honeycombs

Honeycombs resemble the structure of a number of natural and biological materials such as cancellous bone, wood, and cork. Thick honeycomb could be also used for energy absorption applications. Moreover, studying the mechanical behavior of honeycombs under in-plane loading could help understanding the mechanical behavior of more complex 3D tessellated structures such as porous biomaterials. In ...
